NPCI said it could extend this to other nations as well.
How is it going to help NRI?
Non-resident Indians will be allowed to use UPI anyhow, whether they’re in India or overseas; formerly, the systems will be in place by 30 April. Non-residents must have either an on-resident external(NRE) or non-resident ordinary(NRO) account in India to use UPI. Given the size of India’s UPI trafficker structure, it would be more salutary when account holders visited the country. While overseas, people may use UPI to shoot plutocrat to family members in India and use it as a one-commerce spot that accepts similar payments.
What are the conditions for using this installation?
NPCI has directed banks to accept only accounts that misbehave with the Foreign Exchange Management Act rules and directions given by Reserve Bank of India departments(RBI).
